@Rachel - Actually, this is a screencast I created myself using the tool - when I rolled over hotspots, the descriptions and links appeared. The user doesn't have to see the pop ups if they don't roll over hotspots. Also, these are product videos, so they are demos of products like makeup tutorials, or "Shopisodes" for As Seen On Screen where you can show a celebrity wearing an item and the viewer can click to buy. I think it's amazing.

@Michael – Thanks!

@Rachel – Actually, this is a screencast I created myself using the tool – when I rolled over hotspots, the descriptions and links appeared. Well, it's all about the lon trail I suppose! ;-)

Does anyone ever buy stuff from a click-to-buy video link? Come to think of it, I never heard a single person tell me that actually…<br

It seems like they haven't really considered it from a consumer's viewpoint - it's actually quite annoying to watch because the video is constantly interrupted by these ads. People don't like interruptions; they like advertisements to be embedded, in a place where they can get to them if need be - but it's usually a turnoff when ads force themselves into consumers' lives.

This click-to-buy feature might be practical and convenient for advertisers, but don’t you think it goes a little too far?
