isPermaLink="false">http://www.getelastic.com/?p=1866#comment-14841

Tiger Direct is another of those companies I've used in the past and probably will again but I ignore their emails cos they send them to me too often. I haven't reached the point of un-subscribing but I probably should - I rarely read their almost-daily emails.
And this brings up another point... when Tiger Direct tries to push a consumer electronics product like a GPS at me with a deep discount, it's often cos it's been discontinued or is no longer state-of-the-art. Remember that an online retailer doesn't always have my best interests at heart and direct email attempts to cut out the "looking around for a product and a supplier" phase.
If you're actually looking for a GPS in real life Linda, I'd recommend gpscity.ca - enormous range, fab prices, fast shipping. As for models, keep researching and talk to someone about your specific requirements but, for a full-featured in-car unit, it's hard to beat the Garmin Nuvi 760 at the moment. I believe Garmin is generally accepted to give better routing than the other major manufacturers.

Tiger Direct is another of those companies I’ve used in the past and probably will again but I ignore their emails cos they send them to me too often. Sure they may be sending you too many emails for your liking, but at some point you've opted in for those, so the right thing to do would be to opt out and not falsely "Mark as Spam".

My wife gets them constantly and it is such a waste. But it's a great point, there's a fine line between sending often enough and sending too often. With companies like Victoria's Secret, you'd like to see them employ not only a permission based email marketing but also a preference based, where you control the frequency of the emails.
Regarding the article, one thing that stood out to me besides what you pointed out is that the "printer friendly" button stands out more than the "add to cart" button. They also could definitely benefit from some CSS padding to separate the content a bit - it is way to cluttered for a landing page. I could go on and on but we'll stop there =)

@Melissa – not only do they send emails everyday, but also it seems like they send catalogs everyday.
