It’ll be a good idea for marketers to start early and offer steep discounts and sales for their products. Consumer confidence is low and wallets are clamped shut for the most part. Honestly, it’s not *that* bad economically (we’ve been through much worse in recent memory), but psychologically, people need to find deals to get them to spend for gifts, luxury items, and other big ticket items.
