I really expected this to be more about choosing the technology itself - which it does cover - but surprisingly it does a great job of talking about interviewing the people behind the software as well. I work a lot with hosted search providers. One has a great price point and a good solid product, but so much as to be done in-house that they are their own worst bottleneck. I try to explain that to customers when they are in the decision-making process, but of course some things are clearer only after the fact. :) Great coverage.
