Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. Especially like Matt’s commentary. Interesting to see the names on this list…a different twist. Not just the “big guys” but some of the smaller players who are doing interesting things. Personally – from an email marketing perspective – I like MooseJaw. Also – not on the list – CustomInk.com (http://www.customink.com/). Great customer service. Great concept. Pretty slick emails.

Anytime Linda. Yeah, linking them all is tedious, that’s for sure. Thanks for including the link. I really wish they would clue us in on how the sites are chosen, was it based on user experience, revenue, traffic, reach, a combination or some, what?

They just announced that it is available and not too much more other than that. I know they typically expand them around the first of the year, but after a year like Zappos.com has had, I thought they would surely be on the list. Makes you think whether or not the list is all politics or whether there are some actual statistics they use to choose the sites.

I hate that they don’t categorize these lists or offer anything other than an alphabetical link. For that reason, I put together the same list only I put them into categories and sorted them out a bit, there’s even a cool little graph showing which categories have the most sites on the hot 100. I am glad you linked them up too, not sure why IR doesn’t link to them.
