Marketing Documents Ahoy!

The late philosopher Frank Zappa said, “You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.”

Well, I’ll paraphrase FZ in a business context and suggest that, “You can’t be a real company unless you’ve got a brochure and a data sheet - it helps if you have some kind of medical plan and a cafeteria but at the very least you need a brochure.”

Though Frank’s comments are certainly poignant in light of current world affairs, my purpose in co-opting his wisdom is to mention a couple of new documents which our expansive and multi-faceted marketing communications department produced.

Specifically, ready for consumption and distribution are: (See all Elastic Path document resources)

  1. 2-page “Data Sheet” developed to be a basic primer for technical-savvy folks featuring a brief technical overview, client list, notable features and pertinent value proposition (available as .pdf);
  2. 1-page “Company Overview” being the basic info for the those with minimal time to digest information, a few customer quotes, some features and benefits (also available as .pdf);
  3. Brochure - well it is really more like a booklet, flip-book, about 5X5″, four-colo(u)r glossy and rich with images (contortionists) and emotive content with calming resolutions - shiny, tactile and strong. Now that these are out the door, I am finishing up a case study on a project with a flight rewards (read = frequent flier) company and a press release to announce a record sales quarter. More to come!
