Back from the MidMarket eTail Show in San Francisco

The intrepid Elastic Path’ers are back from a successful and entertaining eTail Midmarket show produced by WBR to educate and network various parties concerned with ecommerce and online retail.
Etail midmarket recap

Jason’s roundtable discussion - aided by our retail partner, the effervescent Libby Waldo - was a hit and garnered compliments and thanks from many attendees, plus we managed to meet a variety of retailers, exhibitors and even competitors.

We met retailers from diverse verticals and a wide-range of knowledge backgrounds which helped us get an idea of what we’re doing right plus gain more insight on how we can best help retailers attract and convert customers - profitably and within their (often limited) resources and constraints they face.

I am busily post-producing podcasts galore but wanted to quickly send out a thanks to the organizers (especially Michelle and Seth and his sharp ties) and a hearty hello to new friends, many of whom you’ll soon hear on the Get Elastic podcast.

Interviewees include:

Libby Waldo of Pure Networks (makers of Network Magic)

Cory York of Novator Pvt. Ltd., India (another ecommerce platform)

Jim and Wade of ForgeBusiness + bloghits and Revenews

Ephraim Diament of BlueStreak (e-mail marketing)

Richard Brower of Global Collect (international payment remitance)

Andy Chen of Power Reviews (user powered product reviews)

Ed Hoffman of SLI Systems (learning search)

Other big “hellos, nice to meet ya”s to ace blogger Roy Rubin of Varien, Melody King of Celebros (plus Willis Johnson and Micheal Crandell), Jeff Helfand of Power Reviews, Search Day “Chairman” Jay Shaffer of Directly Home, Eamon O’Neill of Bluestreak, David Gettinger of SLI, Lynette Montgomery of Levenger (who gave a great presentation on organic search), Geric Johnson of The Cheesecake Factory, Guisehng Fang of 123 Print, Todd from A & S BMW Motorcycles, Phil from Easy Ask and the squad from The Inside Store.

I met dozens more folks who I’ve forgotten to list but my diligent colleagues Jason and Mark met even more smart and engaging people whom we hope to see again.

Be sure to subscribe to the podcast feed to not miss any of the interviews as they zoom out to the world via the wonder of RSS. If your prefer, you may subscribe directly in iTunes, or alternatively you can listen to episode on your browser with a built-in Hipcast player.

In the meantime, check out the back catalog of Get Elastic podcasts to learn more about what Elastic Path does and why that matters.
