This is already possible but it *likely* requires some customization of your commerce system. This may or may not be possible depending on what kind of platform you are on. For example, an on-demand platform may not allow for this type of flexibility whereas a “Customizable” (see http://www.getelastic.com/webinar-recap-selecting-the-right-ecommerce-software-in-six-weeks-or-less/) ecommerce application or open source solution allows for more extension of the application.

There may be 3rd party personalization tools out there that allow you to tag behavior/events. It’s also possible some on-demand platforms have rules-based personalization features — it’s just up to you to figure out your strategy and create the rules.
