As a professional commercial photographer I am constantly battling with customers who think that they can do the job of product photography themselves. Of course I'll teach them for a fee and maybe in these times of austerity photography tuition is where I should be focusing my efforts.

Some very sound advice here. It's a false economy which can make or break a company's online sales.

Good advice. If you have small products definitely invest in a light tent. It will completely change the way your products look.

Product photos are the make or break for your e-commerce business. As folks who make living of 360 degree photography, one thing we recommend to our customers is to always get few draft shots of what the end result might look like, review and pick the ones that fit their online design better. This makes things so much easier!

Very good summary.
