Hiding or deleting that won't be a good strategy as today everything is based on trust its better to solve the problems or to accept your mistake as anything can be tracked back and as mentioned above this customer relations strategy would spread some positive word of mouth.

Thanks for sharing the post and a great word which is “Crisitunity”.You are right on target with the point that conversations will happen in any case no matter what.Because a product or service can’t please everyone in the world and if they have the right tools to share the feedback they will do that.<br

The R has been used often in a way to extort businesses, anyone can make a report about a business, it does not have to be true. I rely heavily upon other people's opinions, particularly at Amazon, TripAdvisor, CNet and Ripoff Report. There's always someone who gives a negative review or a meaningless, stupid review, but I'm smart enough to know the wheat from the chaff. How they say it is often as or more important than what they say. And being able to read other people's opinions, well-stated or not, is a valuable service, particularly when it comes to preventing a ripoff. If I'd known about Ripoff Report before a friend talked me into an art buying scheme that eventually went bankrupt because it was basically a scam, I'd be much better off today. I'm smarter because of my experience, and I want others to be saved from making my mistake, and that's why I'm a fan of ripoffreport.com to this day.

Good article, nicely objective.
